LVNOC, ANNUAL MEETING, TREE PLANTING

BULLETIN HIGHLIGHTS: LVNOC for Rustic Canyon Park to meet Monday evening April 7 and 6:30.
SANTA MONICA CANYON CIVIC ASSOCIATON ANNUAL MEETING set for Tuesday, May 6 at 7:00 pm
PARK TREE PLANTING SET TO BEGIN

LVNOC. The Local Voluntary Neighborhood Oversight Committee will meet in the Library at the Rustic Canyon Recreation Center. Committee members will be meeting with representatives of the City Engineer and Councilmember Cindy Miscikowski to review cost estimates for project alternatives. The Committee’s goal is to develop a project within specified financial limits. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
SMCCA Annual Meeting. The Civic Association annual meeting includes
?¼ election of Board members,
?¼ a briefing on canyon issues including the status of creek diversion to improve ocean water quality,
?¼ an update from Senior Lead Officer Chris Ragsdale on The West Los Angeles Community Alert System which is an email notification system. Homeland security and the LAPD. Crime trends and quality of life issues for our area.
Councilmember Miscikowski is an invited guest.

TREE PLANTING TO BEGIN Agreement has been reached with the Department of Recreation and Parks on the planting of 5 new trees in front of the Rustic Canyon Clubhouse. Watch for an announcement of the date and time.
