Alex discussed the new building permits that were either approved or in the works for projects on Amalfi. The following addresses were listed; 216 Amalfi, 263 Amalfi, 318 Amalfi and 333 Sumac Lane.
After a lengthy board discussion about the problems associated with construction in this area, and the canyon in general, a motion was made by Mike Deasy, seconded and passed o be submitted to Cindy Misokowski’s office. The motion reads as follows:
We are concerned that the pending construction at four [4] locations in the Amalfi corridor [216, 263 and 318 Amalfi as well as 333 Sumac] on narrow, substandard, hillside streets will create severe parking, traffic and Public Safety problems for our Canyon Community and request that our City Council Office investigate, identify and implement solutions similar to those already agreed to for 216 Amalfi [flagmen, on-site parking only, remote staging, on-site dumpsters, reduced construction hours to facilitate safe travel for school children and others] to reduce the impact on the community. We are concerned further that this is not a specific Amalfi issue, but a continuing canyon-wide issue that should be dealt with.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:50
