I live on Margaret Lane, which ''T's'' into San Tomas Aquino as it runs along the cement flood control creek coming east from Harriet. I've always felt that the strip of land between the road and the creek could be made much more attractive. Currently, the plants and trees are uncared for and untrimmed, the strip is full of weeds, and lately it seems to be a dumping ground for trash and litter.
Is there any way to make some improvements to this strip of land? Couldn't we get the city to plant some colorful ground cover and maintain it better? Maybe create a more defined break between road and dirt?
It seems to me that it could be made quite pretty if some thought was given to it, and some committment was made to better maintain it.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
