Anyone out there?

I'm relocating to The Pinery and i thought I'd see what you all were up to, what concerns you and how community oriented you are. I'm not sure what to think now after seeing only one discussion since Nov. 1998! I'd like to know what its like there? What don't you like. What's missing. What bother's you. Is there any crime. Why weren't there any people or any cars on streets or in driveways when my husband sent me video of the neighborhood. It looked like a ghost town. Does every have to work there? Aren't there any stay at home moms or retired folks?

Hello, I live in the Pinery and I love it. I can not say that I have been super social with anyone, but I have not had any issues either. The place is beautiful and the deer are a wonder to watch. I think you will love it here.

Hello, L! You'll just love the Pinery! I moved here 6 years ago, when I married my husband, who's lived here for twenty-something years. It's always a quiet neighborhood, but people are friendly. Lots of people go walking, and you'll get a good workout from our hills. We have a few cool events each year, such as a picnic, a massive garage sale, and an art show. We have a great little lake, and you can actually fish in it; speaking of wildlife - deer in the yard every day, bunnies and the occasional fox. When we have guests, they are just delighted with the wildlife. There's a great little newsletter, and the schools are some of the best. Drive slowly in the Pinery, since we have so many walkers and deer. We'll love to welcome you! Sincerely, Beverly (and Ray) Guth |
