On March 19th the Westland Area Commission reversed an earlier decision and voted to support the LR2 zoning of the Sladeco property. Zoning chairman Mike McKay indicated that since Dominion had agreed to 55' and 60' lots, will provide 60'lots along the western property line, will provide 1,200 and 1,400 square foot house minimums along the western property line and ageed to 1,100 and 1,300 minimums for the remainder of the development, that the zoning now comes within quidelines requested by WAC zoning. The vote was 7 in favor and 5 opposed.

The zoning will now go to Columbus City Council on April 7th. Details will be provided as soon as a firm schedule can be obtained. Anyone wishing to speak before city council must be there 1 hour prior to the meeting and fill out a speaker slip.
Anyone wishing to write letters to city council regarding the zoning should send them as soon as possible so council members can receive them in time to have their staff include them in their folders prior to the meeting.
