Alcohol is the drug most used by children and teens in America by far,
and
it poses the greatest threat to their well-being, according to the
National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia
University.
This new report found that a third of all high school students, or 5
million youths, say they binge drink at least once a month, and that
the
gender gap in alcohol consumption that used to separate girls and boys
has
disappeared among younger teens.
