ACTION ALERT: NATIONAL EXPERTS TO TESTIFY DURING AUGUST 4TH ADVOCACY DAY!



Preschool California is pleased to announce that national experts Steve Barnett from the National Institute for Early Education Research and Rob Grunewald from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis will testify at the legislative hearing during our August 4th Advocacy Day in Sacramento.



Steve Barnett's testimony will focus on research about the long term effects of preschool programs on children's learning and development. Rob Grunewald will testify about the economic benefits of quality preschool.



Barnett and Grunewald will be joined by leaders from across the state and from diverse constituencies including law enforcement, business, K-12 education, parents, early childhood education and health, who will testify about the need for and benefits of preschool for all.



Immediately following the hearing, a complimentary lunch will be provided to a limited number of people who RSVP, and there will be a "refresher course" on visiting with policymakers. Participants will then go into small teams (led by a Preschool California staff member or one of our partners) and will visit their policymakers to discuss the importance of and need for preschool for all.
