This message sent today from Shasta Head Start:

Today, during the close of our 3 year program Federal review, we
received notice that a drunk driver plowed through the doors of one of our
Head Start preschool centers and killed Nicole Burns, one of our staff
members.

She is a single parent of two preschool children and was an Early Head
Start home visitor.The children at the center are all safe and the rest
of the staff did an exeplary job of seeing to the safety of evryone on
site. It is with
such sadness and humility that I tell you all of our loss. Please let
the rest of our Head Start family know and I will keep you informed as
