School Choice to Begin This Fall, but Questions Remain

Education Secretary Rod Paige issued a definitive statement that the new choice requirements in the "No Child Left Behind" Act of 2001 must be implemented beginning this fall. According to Education Week, however, questions remain -- department officials could not say whether this mandate overrides state laws limiting class size, for example.
