This year's National Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Week is
October 20-26, offering an opportunity for local groups and agencies to
highlight expanded prevention and advocacy efforts. The Alliance to
End
Childhood Lead Poisoning (AECLP) has a website that contains outreach
and education material developed for the Campaign for a Lead-Safe
America, including a "Community Outreach Kit" with tips for working
with
the media and recruiting partners. Additional resources, including
templates of public service announcements, press releases, and media
advisories to help agencies promote community-based activities are
available on the Environmental Protection Agency's website.
