New Federal Funds Can Help Pay for After-School Programs

The reauthorized Elementary and Secondary Education Act established Supplemental Educational Services funding, available this fall to parents in failing schools for tutoring and mentoring services. After-school programs can register with their state Department of Education as a Supplemental Educational Service provider to receive federally supported parental fees for services.
