Tuesday Nov. 20, 8-9 pm Eastern
The November Satellite Town Meeting aims to inform and prepare parents for
the legislative and other changes that will help us realize President Bush's
vision of leaving no child behind in our nation's schools. The centerpiece
of the president's "No Child Left Behind" plan is a system of high
standards, annual tests against those standards for every child in third
through eighth grade, a system of accountability that makes schools
responsible, and a commitment to doing what works, especially when it comes
to teaching young children how to read.
