WELFARE COMMENTS

Congress must renew the welfare law and funding for child care next
year. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is asking the
public for its input on how the law should be changed. This is your
opportunity to tell the administration that welfare must help families to
work and lift their children out of poverty. The deadline for comments
is NOVEMBER 30!

WHAT YOU CAN DO: The CDF Action Council web site provides model
comments on needed changes to the welfare and child care laws and explains how
you can submit the comments. Go to
