The Southwest Citizens Planning Advisory Committee (CPAC) was created by Mayor ED Austin in 1993.

The CPAC gives direct input to Mayor Delaney, to the School Board, City Coucil, Sheriffs Office, Neighborhoods Office and the Planning Department.

We have Department heads for all the Departments list above at our meetings.

We have had direct input to the Cecil Field Redevelopment Commission in regards to the Economic Development of Cecil Field and the surrounding area.

Since 1993 the Southwest CPAC has conducted a crime summitt on Juvenile Crime, helped convert an old National Guard Armory into a Boys and Girls Club, held town meetings on the prison at Cecil Filed (that was defeated), have planted trees and landscaping along Blanding Blvd., and have provided a forum for citizens to contact the City officals that can help with their problems.

The Southwest CPAC meets the 2nd Monday night of the month at FCCJ Kent campus in the auditorium at 7 PM.
