A Jeep with three younger people in it was traveling very fast and unable to stay on the pavement while turning from Parkview to Terra Way drove through the corner lot 1101 Terra way. It went well into the yard and through the shrubs. If people had been on the sidewalk they would have received severe injury. The incident happened at about 8:15 pm on Wednesday night, 5/2/07. Several neighbors saw the incident. The police were called but have not yet responded at it is 8:30 now. I just got a glimpse of the jeep as it drove away with the youths in the vehicle.

Dangerous Driver Alert

We would like to identify this driver and improve his respect for driving safely in this neighborhood.
Anyone driving over the 25 mph speed limit in any residential area needs similar attitude adjustment.

Dangerous Driver

There were two different families who were there when the Jeep ''hit'' our property last evening and they both saw the whole thing. One family is just across the street at 1111 Parkview (Mr & Mrs Jones). The other party is a Mother and daughter who were walking on Parkview. The boys in the Jeep vehicle were making remarks to them. The Mother felt sure the boys were being ''smart'' with their car just to show off to her young daughter. They also saw the boys ''hit'' our property. The Mother left her name and address with us. The policeman said he was going to contact her after he left us last eve.(May 2nd). Her name is Mrs Noel, 1718 Oakview Dr. Both people decribed the vehicle as a dark green or OD color and a jeep wrangler type. I think I saw the same car go up Terra Way on Tuesday.

Thank goodness the damage is not that severe and MOST of all there were no people in the way of their car.

P.S. My husband was talking to a neighbor girl who said she had seen that same car(she felt) at Rampart taking a left turn and they almost tipped over. She goes to Oakmont and she said she didn''t think she had seen a car like that up there.
