The DOE is trying to co-locate a charter school at PS15

Have you been contacted by personnel from the PAVE Academy?

Apparently, with assistance from the Department of Education, they've done a mailing to every household in the 11231 zip code with children who might be eligible for their kindergarten and first grade classes next September. Some of us feel that this is unethical because it's an invasion of peoples' privacy, and the public schools aren't allowed to recruit this way.

Speak up about this issue

Please use the info on the blog to speak out about this issue. We'd also like to know whether the residents of Red Hook actually WANT a charter school in the neighborhood.
