Seared Ahi Tuna

SEARED AHI TUNA WITH GINGER SOY SAUCE

This recipe is one of our favorites. We had this dish in a restaurant once & were lucky enough to find a recipe and tweek it to our liking. I hope you try it (it's an easy one) and that you enjoy it! BTW, Trader Joe's (NE corner of Gilbert & Baseline) has Ahi Tuna cheaper than any other store.
Blend vigorously to emulsify oil:
1 1/4 - 1 1/2 tsp DRY GINGER
1/4 cup VEG OIL
1/4 cup APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
1/2 cup SOY SAUCE w/GINGER
1 TBS YELLOW MUSTARD
1/2 Tbs WHITE WINE
marinade:
2 AHI TUNA STEAKS for 30 min - 2 hrs in 1/2 of marinade. Remove tuna from marinade. Heat rest of marinade as a side.
Coat tuna w/:
SESAME SEEDS
Sear tuna in a hot skillet (which has a bit of oil in bottom) 2 min ea side. Tuna will be pink inside and VERY tender.
