We, too, depend on Cynthia Garza from the City to help us from time to time even now.  However, after starting our website back in 1999, we have gained soooo many willing volunteers in our neighborhood.  If we can ever help you in any way - we are willing.  Give me a call or email.

Hi Alma.  Thanks for the support!  We are having our first meeting (without Mesa involved) this Thursday.  It'll probably just be a meeting where we figure out what we are going to do for the next meeting, but it's a step in the right direction.  I think for the second meeting, it would be great for you to attend, if you're willing, and help us get further organized.  Actually if you'd like to attend the first meeting, it is this Thursday Feb 17th at Carriage Lane Park, 6:30-7:30pm.
