the new park play ground is nice ,however NCC needs to put a trash can down there, and have police patrol more often.

the residents that live on Woodgreen ct. now have   more traffic to deal with and some of the people can not read or do not care that it is a take out park. we are tired of picking up other peoples beer cans, drug paraphernaliaFrown, rubbers,McDonald's wrappers, gator aid bottles what ever they use they leave behind. teens hanging out until late at night.   my kids and i  and a friend with her little girl were there yesterday afternoon and we were actually scared by the presents of 2 thug looking teens in a car with Pa tags ,blasting their profane ,ghetto music. why do we have to have a park for non residents in the middle of our neighborhood? and why do we have to put up with it ?

i called and complained to NCC and have even asked the police to drive by a few times /night but havent  seen the police or heard a thing from NCC.                            will RGCA please do something about this problem? and please quit advertising the park  on the island sign, put in a trash can or take down this park.      thanks

thanks Harry for letting me use your web page.Kiss

The civic association has a New Castle County community resource Police officer who attends our meetings.

Come to the next meeting and explain what is happening and we can get in touch with the officer and give her specific details.  New Castle county police are responsible for enforcing the park rules:

I will forward this message as you posted it to the officer but it is not going to have the same impact if they don't have your contact information to follow up and get additional details.

Also keep in mind that this is a county park which means it is open to the public.  You can contact the Department of Special Services at 302-395-5720

You can request that the county put in a trash can but I don't know who would be responsible for emptying it.  Keep in mind as well that the civic association is neighbors such as yourself willing to get involved.  Woodgreen CT. only had two residents contribute dues to the civic association last year.  The people on that street need to get involved in the civic association.

also our county taxes that were raised recently pay for these parks i believe. Non residents should be banned unless accompanied by a tax paying resident or pay a user fee. this area was trashed again over the weekend. check it out bob
