WARMTH FROM SOMEONE WHO CARES!
The WARMTH FOR SENIORS EVENT that took place last month was a great success! Our members, as well as members from other R.A.I.N. Centers, took part in this event at which many seniors received lovely WARM items hand-knit by several Knitting Clubs,
I want to express my sincere thanks to our Knitting Club for their wonderful hand-knit items!
INCIDENTALLY. IF ANYONE HAS ANY EXTRA YARN IN GOOD CONDITION, OUR KNITTING CLUB WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!

PROGRAM ASSESSMENT BY DFTA
Each year, all of the Centers and Programs that are sponsored by the NYC Department for the Aging (DFTA) are assessed by DFTA to evaluate our success. They accomplish this by auditing our books as well as all the elements that make up our program, such as or Lunch Program. To date we have always received the rating of EXCELLENT!
I wish to thank all of my staff for working hard each day to make sure our program functions satisfactorily.

We have scheduled two trips to EMPIRE CITY CASINO for February: Wednesday February 3rd and Wednesday, February 24th. SEATING ON THE VAN IS LIMITED, S PLEASE RESERVE EARLY!
