Columbia County Reverse 9-1-1 telephone notifications:
If you use a mobile phone, you have to register your number so it gets mapped in when we send out anything pertaining to your neighborhood. You can choose all the ways you want to be notified...mobile phone, SMS texting and/or email.
Some examples of situations where either my office - or the Sheriff's Office - would utilize the telephone notifications are: Missing persons, suspects at large, chemical incidents, water outages, severe weather situations, road closures, etc. Anything that you need to be aware of for your residence.
If you would like to register your mobile phone, please follow the instructions on this link: https://alertregistration.com/columbiacoga/
