Pain Clinic

Posted in: Prospect Gardens Community Group

On Saturday, January 16, 2010 a sign was erected at 4101 N Andrews Avenue indicating a Pain Clinic operating at that address.  Needless to say, this is a distressing development for our neighborhood.

The Mayor, Vice Mayor, all Commissioners, and the City Manager have been notified by email that we are aware of this and want some action according to their commitment that no new Pain Clinics be licensed to operate in Oakland Park.

Please let your views be known by posting here, emailing us at prospectgardens@aol.com or contacting city officials.

Please make plans to attend the Wednesday, February 10, 2010 Neighborhood Planning meeting at Jaco Pastorius Park at 7pm.

After communicating with the Planning Department and our Commissioners, it was discovered that this pain clinic applied for it's occupational license before the moratorium, so they are allowed to operate at this location (4101 N Andrews).  However, they erected their sign without a permit, so a complaint was submitted to Code Enforcement for that violation by the City planner designated for our neighborhood, Chris Gratz.  We want to thank the Commissioners that responded to our concerns regarding this issue, as well as the City Manager's office and the Planning Department.
