The annual block party will take place on July 12, 2008 formally beginning at 5:00 pm.  We will have a DJ, an inflatable water slide, corn toss, volley ball and plenty of other activities.  As is the case in previous years, the HOA will provide the hot dogs, burgers, and other main food items and soft drinks. We ask that you bring a dish or desert to share.

Utility hook-ups

We will, however, need some other volunteer efforts as well.  For the inflatable water slide we will need an electrical and water hook-up from a neighboring home. In the past, the inflatables have been set up at the southeast corner of the park, as it is the flattest and most open area to place it.  If anyone in the surrounding homes in that area of the park would like to volunteer the utilities let us know.

We will also need a utility hook-up for the DJ.  This could be achieved by use of a generator or a home electrical hook-up.

Water slide monitors

We are looking for one to two individuals who can monitor the children who will playing on the water slide to ensure their safety.  Teenaged boys and girls with baby-sitting experience would be great!

Slide set up and take down

The slide is pretty big and will require some bit of work to set up and take down.  Anyone who is willing to help do this, please let anyone on the HOA know.

If you have any other ideas, suggestions or questions, please contact me, Nate Dawson or Mike Callahan.

Thanks,

Dan Neilsen
