I have a vision. On the corner of Commercial Ave. and Alberta is a flat grassy area belonging to J.H.S. I think it would be the perfect spot for a community event, for example; a block party! The entertainment would be provided by local artists and musicians (The children of the neighborhood being the priority). The main focus should be bringing together and encouraging the neighborhood youth to participate. A sort of youth festival. The evening could end with projected movies, etc. I would like to encourage ETHOS, and Rock Camp For Girls to participate and donate the use of a PA. These are just ideas so far...interested?

Community Block Parties

I think that this is a great idea and Humboldt is home to many grear location to host such an event. Would you or anyone else like to work together on such a project for this year?
