Santos and his crew will start gathering
''Muskogee'' ducks for transport to Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation in Hurst, Texas.

As I am sure you all know, our ''Muskogee'' population has prospered over the last few months and it is time to take steps preventing an over population of our feathered friends.

Santos and his crew will be using ''rubber'' nets to capture the ''Muskogees'', shelter them, and feed them prior to transport to their new home at Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation.

Please note: If you are having a problem with ducks on your property, please provide a written authorization to Santos of S&S Landscape, allowing his employees to access your property for removal of ducks from the premises. Remember, Migratory Birds are not to be displaced or handled in accordance with laws of the Texas State Wildlife Department in Austin.

Thanks for your effort!

We, at LakeSide, are confident that Santos and his crew will exercise extreme care in the capture and transport of our migratory friends to the Refuge. These ducks know a good place when they see it. Thanks to the residents who love these creatures and enjoy their beauty and innocence (our resident gander is something else, though! He rules, and we respect the old guy!).

We appreciate the time given by our neighborhood board members and thank Mr. Loncar who posted his discussion which keeps us all properly informed.

We want to express our appreciation for the humane solution to the duck situation. While we would never condone cruelty to these animals, we were becoming concerned about the health aspects of the feces build up around the lakes. Without 'God's plan' of the predators normally keeping the population in balance something had to be done. Avian diseases are almost always a result of overpopulation, so it is best for our duck friends as well as human enjoyment of the lakes.
