I would like to propose getting some large metal recyle containers like the ones they have at the Senior Citizens' property.  I've often taken my newspapers and other recycle items there over the last 6+ years.  Why couldn't we get containers placed at the Park/ballfield and have the proceeds from recycled items benefit the upkeep of the Park or other children's outdoor activities??  I do not know who would have to approve this use of public land or why refuse company is the one used by the Senior Citizens. Please contact me if I can be of help on the committee to get this approved and going.

There isn't any room in the parking lot for all the cars now. I can't see it happening.

If we lobby the trustees, maybe they'll share the proceeds of the recycling behind the senior center with the parks. Just show up at the trustees' meeting and we'll give it a try!

Maybe you would like to know that Stewart Flaherty, one of our trustees, asked our service director to check into curb recycling again for our community.  I was at the meeting when this was brought up.  The next trustee meeting is Wednesday, May 28, 6:30 p.m., Senior Center.
