Crime in Parkwood.....

Posted in: Parkwood

I have noticed over the past few years Parkwood has deteriorated significantly. There is less being done about crime for starters, what with the vandalism and the outright robbery of houses. And the fact that we have an elementary school at the center makes this even more outrageous. I mean, do we want our children to grow up in the same enviornment as pedophiles, drug dealers, and the average thug? And yet no matter how hard we protest, law enforcement shows little to know effort in helping us. About a month ago my next door neighbor's house was broken into, and  I thought they would catch the person who did it. As far as I can remember, they closed the case after about a week, leaving this person to do as they pleased. And they took everything. TV, important papers, and the like.

This kind of thing should not be tolerated, even if we are just a neighborhood.

Does anyone know what the Board of Directors of our HOA, who just collected over $300,000 from us for this "fee" year, is doing about such an important issue for us? Who is in charge of helping the SAPD do a better job for us? We may need to exercise the "squeeky wheel" approach to get and maintain attention, and the sooner, the better, for our community. Have we all joined the Neighborhood Watch program for our community? Call the property manager of the HOA and push forward on at least something which has a history of progress and some success in attacking these type of issues...... Anyone out there know of other ideas which can work for us?

Before you point fingers, and name names, get your facts straight.  Another gun totin' neighbor is not something I feel comfortable with.
