Protecting their futrue job
I am very happy to see that Bill Wright is looking out after the people of Pickerington and protecting our Home Rule. The fact is that the Pickerington Charter is one of the weakest Home Rule Charters in the State. Clearly if Bill's interest is in preserving and protecting that Home Rule then why didn't he have some influence over his wife who served on the 2000 Charter Review Commission and all they basically changed was the status of the Village to a City in the Charter.
Just as a side point don't forget that Don ''got a match?'' McAuliffe was the Chairman of that Charter Review commission in 2000. If any of you kept track of the trial you would quickly realize that the nest of crooks worked from the cover of the Pickerington City Hall. As a refresher: Postage sold McAuliffe his increased dollar amount Grange Home Owners policy that increased the insured value from in the low $200K to over $340K. That policy was mailed in as a ''mistake'' according to Postage. Parker testified at the trial that he accompanied McAuliffe to Pinehurst when the Judge's house burnt down. Parker is the Alibi. Former Mayor Lee Gray picked McAuliffe and the boys up at the airport from their alibi trip to N.C.
Now exactly what is Bill Wright protecting. Does he have a job or a great opportunity waiting for him once he preserves our Home Rule? Does Parker have a condo waiting for him in Delaware on a golf course?
The fact is that what Bill Wright and Doug Parker are protecting their future opportunities. Clearly passing zoning and annexations as emergencies has allowed these developers to violate the Pickerington Zoning code by allowing CONTRACT ZONING. It is simple as that. They are still in there protecting the Builders schemes to disregard the citizens of this community. If any of you think that these clowns are in there for the good of this community you are dead wrong and are assigned untold hours of research and study on this web site and reviewing every posting back to 2001.
Mr. O'Brien's Charter amendment affects everyone in the City and this community. It gives back to the citizens the right to control our future through annexations and zonings. None of their current opposition is valid. As an example on December 7th 1999 the former council (only remaining member is Bill Wright) slipped a PRE-ANNEXATION ordinance past the public by having the Service Committee sign waivers thus NOT having it on the Service agenda. Then they amended the Council agenda minutes before voting on the PRE-ANNEXATION agreements. So NO ONE in the community would have been aware of this massive housing project (540 Homes) that was locked into being passed by this EMERGENCY legislation. Then a year and a half later they finally executed the agreement that Lee Gray had engineered that night on the old Diley Farm. That lead the way for him and his hand picked successor to add 340 more homes right next door in the Reserve and probably a job with Homewood for Gray.
If these amendments would have but in the Pickerington Charter in 1999 then the need to widen Diley road would not be necessary today. Maybe it would have lasted another 17 years like Sabatino says. We also would not be needed two elementary schools today if those zonings and annexations would have not been passed as emergency and they allowed the citizens their right to the referendum.
