Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

Oh, no! We can't have that!

Posted in: PATA
I just read a story in This Week in Pickerington about actual dad-gum cooperation on a project between students and staff at Central and North.

The project involved the publication of the literary magazine Rites of Passage.

It is a good article. I guess the rich North students and teachers overcame their desperate fear of mingling with the poor Central students and teachers long enough to produce a worthwhile product.

Somebody stop this madness before it spreads, and other rich and poor students begin to talk and work together! Oh, the horror!

I guess that's what happens when the kids want to accomplish something and don't let the prejudices
of their parents get in the way.

Seek out the Positive

It's the same with sports, most of your problems occur with the parents or their slanted views being mimiced by their kids.

Most of us have sat on the sidelines of a PYAA or PASA or Flash game - so don't tell me their aren't ''ugly parents'' in Pickerington when it comes to sports.

It only takes one or two to sour everyone on the team.

People in this town need to start looking at a glass 7/8 full instead of 1/8 empty. If you don't like what's going on, get involved to improve the future. The filing date for the November election is 75 days prior to it - we need people that want to make all of Pickerington a better place. There are seats up on the Trustee's, City Council & the School Board. Make your good ideas have a positive impact to our community - be willing to be part of the solution, not just a fan on the sidelines.
