Ok, I've been patiently waiting. What is your point in this posting?

It will look forward five years

What do mean what is my point?

For years this site has pointed out issues and meetings for our citizens to attend. In many instances these meetings may have seem unimportant to some but they have a huge impact on our future.

None of you bothered to attend the work session on the Pickerington Comprehension Land Use plan back in May of 2000. Only when the Bulldozers showed up along Diley Road to start building the 2000 homes that were created by those work sessions did anyone get alarmed. Now five years later look at we are all facing.

It appears the Pickerington City Council is about to change course in the City's development policy. As we have all seen in the last few years the Pickerington citizens have been locked in a death struggle with the BIA. If any of you have been keeping up to date on the local news you will remember that part of the BIA settlement was that the BIA be informed of these meetings and they will have people willing to speak against ANYTHING THAT WILL CURTAIL their building of new homes in our community.

I would fully expect the BIA to be in attendance along with their barely minority on council to put as much pressure on the small council majority. Now for those that think Pickerington has won or about to win they are dead wrong. There are millions of dollars at stake here for the BIA. If they can foil any kind of tool the city might be able to create to limit building they will. Read the BIA web site for god's sake.

Now if you are concerned about the school levies then this will have a direct impact on those levies in about five years. Your choice is to either sit on your thumbs and hope for the best or show the BIA that this community has not given up on itself.
