just a blip
this fee increase is just a blip on the map.... be realistic when you are talking the total cost of these transactions. The percentage is so small it would be doubtful that it would make or break a purchase transaction, it also puts the Fairfield County fee in line with all other surrounding counties whose property owners do not seem to be ''suffering'' any loss on thier investment if you do your homework.
I believe it is a fair impact fee needed to support county services, and why not put it where it belongs.... on the reason those county services have to be expanded, growth. I guess you would rather pay it in property tax like the schools, or suffer from no services.
I do hope the commissioners dedicate a major portion of this fee to the restoration of safety services that have recently been cut.
