It isn't overt liberalism here
The challenge is seeing through the veneer. I believe the bulk of the teaching staff at PLSD teaches without an blatant bias. I do not recall any of my children encountering lowered grades, etc. for their viewpoints but, as you've seen in other comments on this website regarding the graduation test samples printed in the Dispatch, the teaching materials used have a liberal bias and conform to PC. In the rush to 'teach to the test' I doubt if there is much time given to opposing viewpoints, especially when that earns the test taker a wrong answer.
The textbooks used are not much better. The POD text might as well be written by the Democratic Party.
Private schools deal with the same issues since they use the same texts and take the same Ohio graduation test.
It boils down to you trying your best to know what is being taught to your kids and attempting to offset the liberal viewpoints when they are there. It's time consuming and I wish you the best of luck.
