agreed
Absolutely agree and what a shame that it will not even be considered. I know my choice would be a lot easier if I could be assured that the same money or at least part of it that I contribute to public schools would actually go to MY child's education even if I did not access the PLSD. We lived in Arizona at one time and many of the districts out there were really reaching out to homeschoolers for example. They had really started a partnership whereby they offered classed to homeschooled children in that district and also sports. It was a wonderful partnership and fostered a real sense of community and understanding between the often at battle homeschoolers vs. teachers at ps. It was not perfect by any means, but teachers felt less like that option threatened them and homeschoolers felt less at odds with teachers in the school. I'm sure this may fall on deaf ears, but I'd love for Pickerington to really find a way to team up with people who choose other options since many of us go between our options several times over based on current needs. It would be nice to feel a more fluid transition and I think it could only benefit PLSD to have a certain part of the population be doing most of the education of the student.
