Budget growing at 10% rate

I don't have the specifics. I do know that in 1999 I read an old budget and our school operating budget was in the low $40 million range. Recently I have read on this site that the operating budget is in the $70 million range.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the growth in our schools has been around the 6% range over a number of years now. If the budget was $42 million in 1999 then with 6 % growth in school population our current operating budget should be around $56 Million. It is $70 Million.

If the operating budget was $48 million in 1999 with 6% increases then our current operating budget should be $64 million.

None of these figures include the capital out lays for the new schools ($77 Million)
