Ok, so if the levy passes and two elementary schools are built, what is the estimated cost (per $100,000 of property valuation) to furnish, staff, run, bus, administer, etc them? And how soon after consturction begins, would these monies need to be voted upon?

I think the board may consider the renewal of the upcoming levies that will expire. It is possible for them to renew them at the same millage based on the increased property valuations we have all experienced. In effect they would get more money to operate at the same amount of millage as we have now but that millage would be based on the current valuation snapshot. You would pay more...but they would probably try to sell it as no new millage...

Depending on how much more money a renewal at the higher valuation rate would yield...will determine if they go this route. Remember the teacher contract will be up too. cha ching
