Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

Confused - Rest of the Story

Posted in: PATA
I tried the Sabatino site out of curosity. Can someone tell me how there can be 243 votes on the Diley Road situation with only 107 viewers?
While you're at it

Tell me how these guys can be so adamantly supportive of placing over 2,000 homes down Diley, support every piece of legislation before December 2003 supporting widening it to 5 lanes and now speak of the widening THEY CREATED as some sort of devil's spawn.

Oh that's right - it will soon be an election year.....

Billy has Alzheimer's

I am sorry to announce that our long time Pickerington City Council member Bill Wright has Alzheimer's. I want to extend my condolences to his family and hope they can have the strength to hold up under the coming years as Mr. Wright fades and leaves us.

Normally these short term memory loses start with repeating comments from ten minutes ago. Mr. Wright has advanced to nearly a year of memory loss. He voted to approve the Diley Road five lane widening last November. Technically the resolution (2003-97 which is on the city web site) didn't say five lanes but the Transportation Improvement Plan did. Even the project engineer stated in the paper that five lane were approved in 2001. Now on his well controlled web site he is spinning his faulty memory.

Then there is Mike Sabatino asking ''what is the hurry'' to go to five lanes according to Mike we can wait 17 years before the road fails. First I personally asked the Pickerington traffic engineer how long would the two lanes last on Diley Road before they failed? He told me five or six years. Now if you had to believe either a trained traffic engineer or Mike Sabatino deciphering the traffic data who would you go with?

I believe I have also heard that if the city waited much longer they would have lost the MORPC funding. If you are a Pickerington tax payer would you feel good about council farting around doing another study then losing the funding. Besides MORPC will not fund a three lane road for Pickerington. That means it would cost Pickerington $12 Million for a three land road. Come on Mike wake up. You are just trying to get your name in the paper so voters think you are fighting for them. Mike if you are so damn bright why didn't you ask these questions last November? I think Mike can be called the proverbial dip in the road. I only wisk I could do graphics on this posting.

I sent an email in to this site for a password to post comments on the site, I purposely left my name on the email so they would know who it was, of course I did not receive a password to post comments, they will not let a contrary view on the site from the looks of it.

I guess they have not learned that most people in the community can smell bull when the see it or read it.
