How many left?
I haven't seen the settlement yet but it does appear that the two lots per acre ordinance passed in 2002 will stand. That will both drive up the price of new homes and it will cut the total number of new homes.
If I am reading the paper correctly and I have heard from some close to the agreement the two lots per acre ordinance does not apply to the sub-divisions already plated and under construction.
That means that our friends mentioned above did stock the cabinet for their builder friends in 2002 and passed everything as emergency. They still will be building at the time frames they had originally planned on. I believe those 70 lots in George's Creek will remain at their original density even though they didn't get their plats approved before November 2002.
So the question is now how many lots ares till available to teh builders with no controls on them to slow? Wasn't there a number of 2200 lots aproved in 2002 by EMERGENCY? How many do we have left?
I am sure that number to pop up here soon.
