Commander in Chief
Done Decided:
You try to spin the argument for President with a frontal attack on ALL Republicans to place us on the defensive.
The number one job of any President is being our Commander in Chief. That is the civilian control over our Military for folks like Done Decided. To command our troops we must have a leader that has not only respect for our men and women in uniform but that they have respect for him or her. That means this public leader supporting the military and providing that force with the weapons and systems and pay to keep our armed forces strong.
We can all remember that Bill Clinton protested against the Viet Nam War in England and he stated in an actual memo that he ?“LOATH?” the Military. Those same men that were dying in ?“Nam?” were protecting his right to say those things and he never made the connection. Similarly John Kerry in a Senate Hearing in 1972 called our troops in Viet Nam ?“WAR CRIMINALS?”. He admitted to being a WAR CRIMINAL himself and now he wants to lead these men and women into a new more socially accepted future.
During the 1990s Mr. Clinton cut our Military and caused moral problems. I believe we can all remember the Air Force General Campbell that called him a Draft Dodger and Coward. He was openly ridiculed on a US Navel Air Craft Carrier in 1994 and those sailor?’s were disciplined for their behavior. When it came time to name a new Joint Chief?’s of Staff for our Military, Bill Clinton had to name a Russian born General to the post because he didn?’t have AMERICAN BORN men willing to serve under his leadership. Since we were not at war during his two terms he only allowed a problem to fester and 8 months after leaving office our homeland was struck.
John Kerry is formed out of the same mold that Bill Clinton was formed and during a time of War we ALL must be very careful in our vote for the President. As a Senator, he cut the Military and as a former Naval Officer he protested that war which gave aid and comfort to the enemy while our troops were trying to win a peace in Viet Nam. As a veteran, I will not support a President that has so little regard for our troops.
I believe I read that the casualties in 1972 in Viet Nam were around 44,000. By 1975 our number of casualties had grown to 57,000. That is over 4,000 per year. If John Kerry and Bill Clinton prolonged that war just one more year then they have the blood of our troops on their hands. There are many indicators that those protesting and Jane (Hanoi Jane) Fonda prolonged the war.
