Stick a fork in me --- I'm done

So PATA has died?
One posting in the last month?
This is what it has come to?

Where oh where is someone like Soap Box Hero when we need him?

If PATA is done you might as well take down this site.

By Blast from the Past
The site will not go down

The discussion area activity is dictated by the will of the people who read it and contribute. I am sure when they have something to share they will return. The site will not be taken down because of lack of pariticpation at times on the discussion area. If you scroll down the Our pages section, the storied history of the political turmoil of our community is archived and can be an invaluable tool to remind those past and present of where we have come from and maybe how to avoid the pitfalls of the past in our future.

Many PATA members are now in elected office and cannot regularly contribute to the site in the discussion area as this would be a conflict of interest.

Many are taking time off from politics after the last election and are spending time with their families during this holiday season. Some key members have serious health issues they are dealing with and are not able to contribute to the site daily.

PATA is not dead, this site will remain in force as a tool for the community to use to communicate on issues of importance to them.

A site redesign is forthcoming, look for it to launch soon.

I do not see an end yet

It appears the voice from the past believes we must continue to be very critical of our local governments. To make issues where there are none. Obviously the recent local news and local issues have been ''Low Key'' type issues and even the local newspapers are struggling to find controversial stories to write about. Most are writing fluff stories to fill their pages each week.

As for the members of this group (PATA) being dead and gone I don't think that is accurate. Clearly we have all just completed a Presidential Campaign and the contributors to this site worked on both sides of that National Campaign. Many of us are just plain burned out. We have an opportunity to enjoy our family during this season and I think many of us are doing just that.

We all realize we have a huge battle ahead still to complete the transformation of our local governments and their attitudes. I know we have Democrats and Republicans here locally that will come together to make this community better in the coming years.

We have not yet won the battle with the local builders and the affects of their uncontrolled residential building and its affect on our schools, police, and fire departments, along with the severe traffic issues facing us all each morning. We as tax payers simply can't keep up with this rate of residential growth and still maintain the infrastructure we currently have. Starting this coming week (Christmas) I believe we will all begin to see the results of the newly elected members of the City Council and other leaders of this community.

The school system is in need of new classroom space. What will it take to get everyone on board to support expanding our school classroom space?

The BIA is still in court with Pickerington over the two lots per acre initiative and the 2003 building moratorium. Will that ever be resolved?

What about the sewer plant and the 2003 urgent need to expand that plant?

What is the status of the Diley Road project?

The Township is faced with a couple of re-zoning applications that could add hundreds of new homes and students into our schools. Will the area residents have the will power to continue to oppose this high density zoning?

Our friends to the east in Liberty Township are fighting a number of ''PROPOSED'' developments. They have taken their battles to court and they are asking for help in raising money to support their court efforts.

Many times when this site is quiet its members are busy and just don't have the time to sit down and make postings. I suspect that work will be coming out soon and there will more activity to give those visitors that are bored something to read during the day.
