Dominion Homes

Their houses are not great. Perhaps, they're not even good. Dominion hires subcontractors for almost every aspect of the build. They're insulated poorly and the rough-framing is substandard. This causes street noise problems and hefty heating & cooling bills. The drywall crews are pretty good but they need to be to cover the many mistakes made by the framers. Many of the framer's qualifications are no more than a willingness to work from sun-up to sun-down for $7/ hr or less. Dominion's vinyl siding is of the lowest quality available and has a propensity to crack & wrinkle during extreme temperatures. The windows, while they are Anderson built, are usually Anderson's lowest quality.

The only people who will tell you Dominion Homes builds quality houses are Dominion homeowners, who are unwilling or unable to come to the truth that they've been sold shoddy workmanship and must endure the Dominion ''quirks'' until they have the financial means to move out, and Dominion's marketers.

However, both know the real truth: the re-sell value of Dominion homes ranks very poorly, especially in the Pickerington area where there are literally hundreds of similar, if not exact, homes to choose from. But that's what you get from a cookie-cutter homebuilding company like Dominion. And that's what you get from a 335 home Planned Unit Development.

Do we really need another PUD from Dominion Homes in Violet Township and Pickerington Local School District?
