Billy Boy's memory
I see Billy claims they never talked about a five Lane Diley Road prior to last night. Yet Bily voted for 2003-24R on Novemebr 4th 2003 and it clearly desginated the road to be five lanes. The project Engineer Kevin Grathlow clearly stated that the five lane desination was adopted in 2001. I guess Billy wasn't paying attention when he voted for the ordinance 97-02 to update the transportation improvement plan. It calls for a five lanes and an interchange at US 33 and Diley.
I guess our Senior Councilman missed the boat on a couple of votes here. Now he thinks three lanes will work and he is even willing to spend up to another $9 MILLION to cater to these four families on Diley.
Parker now has become the sensitive one. He is looking out for those poor people on Diley Road. Yet in the past he has called some in that neighborhood ''selfish Zealots.'' He is also quoted as saying he was elected to do as he pleases. What changed Dougie?
Then there is Sabatino. His mother is applying to rezone her home on Diley from R to C-2 and she already accepts the fate of her home. Does Mr. Sabatino have a hand in this land? Will he speak out against this spot zoning that he hates? Or will he continue to be the hypocrite he is?
