Try this
Here's something for all township residents to consider - especially those getting the shaft in the Bentwood Farms/Mallard Speedway area:
You border the city of Pickerington. Petition for annexation and you might have some of your problems addressed.

At What Cost?
Pickerington would be glad to get your tax dollars,(one percent income tax and the additional property tax as well as your sharing their present debt) and might even do something about your problem when they get through solving their present problems.

Less if we control growth
First folks this isn't rocket surgery. We have some person now asking how much does it cost and totally forgets that the PLSD it the biggest tax collector in our community. We are the highest taxed section of Fairfield County and folks that includes you tightwads in the Township.
For every new home the costs of community services is about a $1.50 for every new dollar collected in taxes. Some of the homes in the Township do come in higher than the average city home lately. But to break even they would all need to average $700,000. So you folks do the math of your 173 new homes each year.
Then to have the stupidity to ask how much does it cost in the city? First the income tax is only a half percent if you work outside the city and the millage in the city is a five mills higher than the township.
How much is it worth to you to not have your kid run over by a spending car? You same people went into the township offices and demanded action for slowing down the drivers in Brentwood Farms. Only to find out your kind of government is useless in correcting the problem. Ok you got a discount government big deal, but when you are ready to address your problem and our community's problems then maybe you should consider chipping in for the fix. The longer you all wait the higher the bill because the school district needs more money now and they need another TWO elementary schools.
I know how much does it cost? Probably $25 million but shoot you don't need to pay the half percent city income tax. That will cost you about $500 per year or more on the Township homes. Hey the same amount you would pay for a half percent income tax on a $100K income.
When do you plan to put the breaks on this growth? That is the only way to improve the quality of life in Pickerington and this school District.

Math Problem?
If you live in the City you would pay the increased property tax for the school, PLUS the one-half percent income tax.
