A tree lined boulevard???

Hopefully Violet Township / Pickerington / Canal Winchester get their acts together and make the Diley Rd corridor as nice as the Avery Rd / Muirfield Rd corridor in Dublin. Leaving SR 33 and going north you have a beautiful ten mile road with a center divider, trees, etc. Primarily residential in nature but with occasional commercial.

Or we can have a strip of blacktop with nothing but cars.........

I saw a report a day or so after the post that Canal is considering a boulevard style road for their section. So my guess is a nice section for a mile or two then into a group of mis-matched sections as we move from township to city back to township, etc.

I like to look at cups as half full so permit me to dream that the powers get their act together for once (and with the new folks in control maybe we have a better shot at it then before) and look out ten years at what could be a grand entrance to our area from 33, not the mess the city permitted 256 to become.

But, as I freely admit, that is the view thru the rose colored glasses........

I know for sure

that all the trees have been removed from the Diley project by the acting city manager. I asked at the ODOT open house and that was the answer I was given by another city employee and the engineers.

If you want trees, the time to act is now. Go to council meetings and tell them and send letters to the acting city manager to ask that trees be included in the project. If you don't ask, there won't be trees.
