Now lets get this straight. Parker doesn't want to support Mitch O'Brien for Pickerington City Council because it would be hypocrisy? He says, When former councilman Craig Maxey was appointed in 2002 after failing to win a seat in the 2001 election, he said, ''We had the public stand up and chastise us for not choosing the person with the next highest vote total.''
Doug you did choose the person with the next highest vote totals. That was one of the stupid justifications you used in your decision. Then Fox said he was ''seasoned.'' You idiots didn't have a clue about the applicants you interviewed. That is why you are in the minority now.
Doug went on to say, ''I find it a bit hypocrital to not choose Chris Smith,'' he said '' Smith finished fourth in the race for three council seats.''
The very next day Doug is a DEFENSE witness in court for the arson charges against Don McAuliffe. In fact it appears Doug was the alibi for the former Judge. There was two car loads of these friends going on a golf outing and they all stayed at the hotel at the airport. When they returned Former Mayor Lee Gray was waiting for the Judge in a Jeep. In addition Former Councilman Maxey has been in attendance for every day of the trial.
Is it just me or would it make any difference if we knew the others that were going on this golf outing? So someone please ask Doug who the others in this outing were.
We have Doug the Alibi, Maxey the keeper of Don's check book, and Lee Gray the developer all in close with the Judge. Now Doug shows his support for Chris Smith. Wasn't Mr. Smith a business partner of Lee Gray's? Is young Mr. Smith the next generation of the Pickerington Mafia?
Who else was on the trip? There have been rumors for years of trips to Las Vegas to gamble from a prominate lawyer friend. Did they find a new way to launder their payoff money? Do they bet on golf trips? Would there have been cash bets exchanged during this outing? Would the names in question have come back to Columbus a little richer?
