With the election of Councilman David Shaver to Mayor, applications are being taken to fill his slot. The new person would be named in 2004.

CITY COUNCIL POSITION AVAILABLE
The City of Pickerington is accepting applications from residents who are electors to fill the unexpired term of a City Council member. All applications received by 12:00 PM December 30th, 2003, will be considered.
Applicants should be prepared to attend meetings as scheduled by Council. Applications are available at City Hall, 100 Lockville Road, or by calling 837-3974.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS AVAILABLE
The City of Pickerington is accepting applications from residents who are electors and willing to serve on a volunteer basis on the Board of Zoning Appeals or the Personnel Appeals Board.
Applicants should be prepared to attend meetings on a monthly basis. Applications are available at City Hall, 100 Lockville Road, or by calling 837-3974.

Open seat

I have tried to call these numbers but no one will return my calls. I would like to serve my community and apply for one or more of the open positions in our City Government. I have a very seasoned resume and I could hit the council floor running. There would be not learning curve for me.

I would hope that those of you that know me, you will write letters in support of me being appointed to this open seat. I haven't had much luck in getting elected to anything lately and people showing me some support would help my self esteem. I will be looking forward to reading your letters.
