Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

It has always made me nervous when outgoing political bodies are in such a rush to spend money. Witness the panic push by the school board's soon to be outflanked group of three to spend the $2.5 million leftover construction fund. Makes you wonder who's getting that money that it couldn't wait for the new board to be seated. Lame duck politicians should lose the right to spend taxpayer's money as soon as they loose an election.

Who supported these lame ducks?

Wasn't it a few months back that we heard that Larry Sigman was going to be the School Board President? I believe it is recorded some where back on a previous posting. Sometime the voters are smarter than we give them credit for. I think this shows without a doubt who the big spenders are and who will tend to be a big spender in the future. The common thread of these three lame ducks is they were all supported by the Athletic Boosters club. That club is now two clubs because the over spent at the rich school and now they are trying to make amends for their past misdeeds. I think they want to build a cheaper version of rich school football field trying to show the Central H.S. taxpayers that they are equal to the North schools. Never mind the fact that they spent three times that amount on the North School facilities?
