ETHICS in government

Posted in: PATA
It is your choice

Why is it so important that the Republicans of this newly formed C.U.R.E. group demand reform and take the power away from the current county party leadership? Listed above, by Paper Reader, are all of the precincts in the northwest corner of our county (32 Precincts) that all but one have candidates running for the Republican Central Committee which actually will be the people running the party for the next two years.

Now let?’s compare that to the Democratic Central committee races which will be held on March 2nd along with the Republicans.

The only two precincts that the Democrats have put u p any candidate is Pickerington E (Melrose) Timothy Mangan and in Violet J (Huntington Hills) Joyce Vaughn.

Clearly in our part of the county the Republicans have a one party rule. If the Republicans don?’t clean out their own house WHO WILL?

who is who

O.K.
So we know that the Fox camp got more votes two years ago. And somebody said then that Fox didn't do then what C.U.R.E. is doing now. Two years back Fox (and Gray) walked in ticket running candidates on the last day of filing of their closest supporters. C.U.R.E. publically has come out and said they want to show everyone that they stand for ethics and these are the people who agree with them.

Of this list who's who?

And really who are the ''hold outs'' that supported Fox two years ago and need to be gone before they do it again?
There is a difference

First lets make sure you understand that there is a great deal of difference between how Fox gained his support and how the cure group is recruiting their CC candidates.

In 2002 Mr. Fox and Craig Maxey used Pickerington City employees under duress to run for central committee. They recruited these employees on City TIME. These same employees were directed by Joyce Bushman to run for central committee. These guys even brought campaign signs into City Hall during working hours. please notice that there are no city employees running this time. They have a right to run but without the pressure of the city manager they all chose not to run. Can you see any ethical problem with forcing city workers to run for CC?

There are public employees running for Central Committee but there are none running under duress from the fear they may be fired if they don't run.

The C.U.R.E. candidates will finance their own races and will not rely on these special interest to buy is our signs and then expect us to support their leader (FOX).

On the list that I put on the above web posting the CURE candidates are on the left. If they are unopposed then they will have a / to the right of their name and no other names will be there. If the Gray + Fox group candidate is to the left they are sperated with a /. If the Gray Fox group are unopposed then there will be a / to the left of their name. It looked good on the word processor but they don't have as many columns here on the web site.

So if you support Fox and Gray you should vote for those names in the right column. If you want to vote for the CURE candidates then vote for the person on the left column. In some cases you only have one that is running so lets hope it is not your precinct.
