does anyone know have far away the building should be from a residential property where the fire works are sold ? a slum loard is letting his people sound off loud booms right next to my mother ...she is 88....childish & if something bad happens to her..i will be their worse nitemare.

Hello Larry, I read your post about fireworks with interest and gratitude. We have horses and have had certain people using fireworks to deliberately terrorize them and US, for a long time. We call for help and get the 'pat' answer, 'It's legal, there's nothing we can do."...I for one despise the things and hope they outlaw them permanently. Susan Miller, Lafayette In. |

All, fireworks impact other animals also. My dog hides and clings to me or my wife during the community celebration. I am in total support of celebrating Independence Day! But too often folks use this day as an excuse to create havoc and generate an much noise as possible. We should all be thankful for our freedom. How about limiting the use of personal fire works to within +/- 2 days of the announced day of celebration. After all, I think that I have the right to celebrate my Independence Day in peace and tranquility!

Hello there. As horse owners we are finding this to be a real problem. There is no way we can get them used to this nonsense. We have had certain people use fireworks that shake the ground from a half a mile away, and we consider this terrorism. It's too easy for a neighbor to use them as 'legal' harrassment. We are seeing how to lobby against this and hope others will to. We all need to stand up for our right to live in peace.
