Dear Neighbors,
My name is Don Stewart and I wish to volunteer for election to the Evergreen Park Estate Covenants Committee. I was an unelected appointee to the Covenants Committee during 2006 but resigned last winter after some troubling inter-committee communications dampened my enthusiasm. However, the recent purchase of the lot next to mine by a land speculator has illuminated for me the fact that we must have a Committee that will properly enforce our Covenants and provide protections for our properties and their values. I AM NOT anti-development, I am PRO RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT. I believe owners in EPE should have the right to do as they will with their own property unless it negatively affects the rights of neighbors in contravention of the Covenants.
I currently operate my own property management firm and I have been the Operations Manager for three different law firms. I was also the Manager of the State Government's active collections arm (recovering fees, taxes, fines and enforcing writs and seizures). This experience has made me a good ''Leg Man'' in terms of research of Public Records and a fine witness and advocate for legal and philosophical positions.
I would be a good man for you to have standing between your well/septic and their destruction by irresponsible development. That said, I would also be very hard to convince that an owner should not develop a lot that met with our community's Covenants and regulations in that regard.
Thank you for considering me for your vote for a position on the EPE Covenants Committe.
