Hunger Hurts!

Local Food Pantry In Need!

In order to avoid any interruption in their services to this COMMUNITY, they are making plans to purchase a building to house the pantry. The building is located on East Epler Avenue. The owner has agreed to sell the property for $128,000, which has appraised for more than $140,000.

Currently Hunger, Inc. has approximately $60,000 in its GENERAL FUND toward the purchase of this building. In order to secure this building, FUNDS NEED TO BE RAISED by August 31st, 2000! They have applied for two (2) grants to help with the financing and BOTH have been DENIED. Without your HELP Hunger, Inc. could be HOMELESS! This NEW LOCATION would secure the FUTURE of the PANTRY.

Here is HOW you can HELP! As you can see the mission is HUGE! Since 1983 Hunger, Inc. has been distributing food at no cost to its clients.

The purpose of Hunger, Inc. is to provide food to those with an immediate need. The clients who come to Hunger, Inc. for help have faced a variety of crises such as unemployment, unexpected medical bills or a reduction in their income. Hunger, Inc. does not give out MONEY, pays no bills and does not deliver.

In 1999 more than 60,000 lbs. of food was given out by the pantry to feed more than 5,700 people within this community.
